Can you outline your process for taking custom paintings/commissions?

Yes, Absolutely! The Commission Process:

• To begin the commission process you can message me via my “Say Hello!” page or email me at ellenanneschaefer@gmail.com

• We will discuss your vision for your portrait including: reference photos you would like to use, what size portrait you would like, any special items you would like included, all of your details, etc.

• I will provide an approximate timeline to complete your painting (you can find my current commission timeline in the banner at the top of this page- I am typically booking out about 2-3 months in advance). If you need your art by a certain date, I will do my best to work with you!

• I will reach back out to you as soon as I am beginning your painting and again once I have finished it.  The second time I reach out, I will attach a photo of your painting.  At that point, we can make any tweaks that you think your painting may need for you to love it. (Due to the nature of watercolor, adjustments may be limited- but I will do my best!)

• Payment can be processed via this website upon completion of your custom painting. (Some clients prefer to pay at the beginning of the process- that works too. Just let me know your preference!)

• I thoughtfully package and ship you your new art!

Do you take returns/exchanges?

If your order is damaged or defective at the time you receive it, I would be happy to return it or exchange it for an item of equal value.  Due to the nature of my custom paintings, I cannot take returns or exchanges.

Do you take custom orders beyond what is listed on your website?
